Timex has expanded its Atelier collection with the introduction of its first chronograph models, the Chronograph Automatic M1a Ti and the Chronograph Quartz M1q. The new releases build on the design approach established by earlier Atelier watches, which focused on clean proportions, minimalist aesthetics, and material-driven construction.
The Chronograph Automatic M1a Ti features a lightweight titanium case and a skeletonized case architecture that highlights the watch’s structural design. The watch uses a matte black dial with integrated chronograph subdials, creating a monochromatic appearance focused on readability and balance.
It is powered by a Swiss automatic chronograph movement that combines mechanical timekeeping with chronograph functionality. The use of titanium reduces overall weight while maintaining durability, making it suitable for everyday wear. The watch emphasizes a contemporary design language through its restrained color palette and architectural construction.
The Chronograph Quartz M1q offers a quartz-powered alternative within the Atelier range. It features a structured dial design with guilloché detailing, chronograph subdials, and well-proportioned case dimensions to maintain visual balance.
The quartz movement provides precise timekeeping and low maintenance, while the dial finishing introduces additional texture and depth. The watch combines chronograph functionality with a design focused on simplicity, practicality, and material quality.
Both models mark the Atelier collection’s entry into the chronograph category, offering mechanical and quartz options while maintaining the collection’s emphasis on clean design, proportion, and functional timekeeping.
Giorgio Galli, Chief Creative Director, Timex Group, said, “Chronographs can easily become visually heavy. With these watches, the focus was restrained. Every element is there for a reason. The proportions are carefully resolved so the complexity feels calm, modern, and wearable.”
