Children’s healthy food startup Slurrp Farm, backed by actor-producer Anushka Sharma, has raised around ₹60 crore (about $7.2 million) in a fresh funding round, a strong signal of growing investor confidence in India’s health-focused food space.
Founded in 2016 by Meghana Narayan and Shauravi Malik, Slurrp Farm makes nutritious snacks and meals for kids, including porridges, cereals, millet pancakes, dosa mixes and other millet-based treats. The brand is part of Wholsum Foods and sells in over 5,000 stores across India alongside online channels.
Anushka Sharma joined Slurrp Farm in 2022 as investor and brand ambassador, bringing visibility and a personal story: as a mother herself, she’s championed healthier eating habits for children and the brand’s mission resonates with many modern parents.
Experts believe this trend reflects a broader shift, more parents are choosing nutritious alternatives to traditional snacks, and investors are eager to back companies that tap into this “good food” movement.
