Metro Brands has appointed Harshvardhan Chauhan as its Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Senior Management Personnel (SMP), effective February 23, 2026. In his new role, Chauhan will lead the company’s overall marketing strategy and brand initiatives, reporting directly to CEO Nissan Joseph.

Chauhan brings over 18 years of experience spanning retail, fashion, lifestyle, grocery, home and e-commerce sectors. Over the course of his career, he has held leadership roles across organisations including Bharat YEF, Trident Group, RPSG Group, DLF Shopping Malls, ShopClues, Godrej Group, Reckitt Benckiser and Accenture. His cross-industry exposure is expected to strengthen Metro Brands’ marketing capabilities as the company continues to expand its footprint in India’s organised footwear market.

Academically, Chauhan holds an MBA with a specialisation in Strategy and Business Management from Symbiosis, Pune. He has also completed the Accelerated General Management Programme from IIM Ahmedabad, further reinforcing his strategic and leadership credentials.

The appointment comes at a time when Metro Brands is sharpening its focus on brand differentiation and consumer engagement amid rising competition in India’s fashion and footwear retail space. As CMO, Chauhan will be responsible for driving integrated marketing efforts across Metro’s portfolio and strengthening brand positioning across both physical and digital channels.

Following the announcement, Chauhan shared the news on LinkedIn, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to join Metro Brands.
