As conversations around women’s entrepreneurship gain momentum, fashion e-commerce platform Myntra has announced the launch of MynShakti 2.0, the next phase of its initiative aimed at empowering women-led businesses in India’s fast-growing digital lifestyle market.
The program, launched under Myntra’s ShECommerce umbrella, aims to onboard and support 100 women-led brands across fashion, beauty and home categories. By offering mentorship, operational guidance and platform access, the initiative seeks to help emerging women entrepreneurs scale their businesses and reach a wider customer base.
The first edition of MynShakti had already laid the foundation for this effort. In its initial phase, the program supported 20 women entrepreneurs operating across categories such as clothing, jewellery, educational toys, pet apparel and personal gifting. Many of these brands were early-stage ventures with fewer than 50 stock keeping units (SKUs). By leveraging Myntra’s extensive customer network, technology-enabled shopping infrastructure and logistics support, these entrepreneurs were able to expand their brand presence and streamline operations.
With MynShakti 2.0, Myntra plans to build on that momentum by introducing a more structured support system for participating brands. Women entrepreneurs joining the program will receive end-to-end onboarding assistance and dedicated account management for six months, helping them optimize their storefronts and performance on the platform. The initiative will also include expert-led webinars and mentorship sessions, offering guidance on areas such as marketing strategies, order fulfillment and effectively leveraging the Myntra marketplace.
A key addition in the second phase of the initiative is a vernacular video series designed to simplify the onboarding and growth process for sellers. By offering resources in regional languages, Myntra hopes to encourage greater participation from aspiring entrepreneurs in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, where many women-led businesses are beginning to emerge.
Commenting on the launch, Govindraj MK, CHRO, Myntra, said,
“India’s e-lifestyle landscape is being shaped by a new generation of entrepreneurs, with women increasingly taking the lead in building brands that cater to the evolving aspirations of diverse consumer cohorts. MynShakti, under our ShECommerce vision, is focused on enabling women-led brands with the right tools, insights and mentorship to scale sustainably. Following a successful first edition, we are expanding the program with a sharper structure and deeper support to empower more women entrepreneurs to build, lead and transform meaningful brands at scale.”
Women entrepreneurs looking to scale their made-in-India fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands can apply to the program through Myntra’s survey link or via its social media channels, including LinkedIn and Instagram.
