Suryakumar Yadav Backs Homegrown Fragrance Brand EM5 As Investor & Strategic Partner
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Indian cricket star Suryakumar Yadav affectionately known as SKY is expanding his influence beyond the boundary ropes into the world of consumer brands, with his latest strategic move as an investor and partner in EM5.

Founded in 2022 by Shashank Chourey, EM5 has quickly gained attention for offering accessible, high-performance fragrances from perfumes and roll-ons to scented candles and beard balms through online channels and marketplaces. The brand, which also appeared on Shark Tank India and has been featured in industry lists highlighting fast-growing startups, operates in the mass-premium segment of the Indian personal care market, a category expected to see significant expansion in the coming years.

Unlike traditional celebrity endorsements, Yadav’s role extends beyond visibility: he has joined as both investor and strategic partner. According to industry observers, this type of partnership can help emerging brands like EM5 not only boost awareness but also gain cultural legitimacy in a crowded marketplace.

Yadav’s investment in EM5 reflects a new chapter for both the cricketer and the startup blending sporting fame with entrepreneurial flair as Indian athletes increasingly play active roles in shaping lifestyle brands that aim to resonate with younger, aspirational customers.
