Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has launched a new Gemini Experience Centre in Troy, Michigan in collaboration with Google Cloud. The facility marks the seventh such centre globally, designed to showcase advanced technology solutions and collaborative innovation.

The company states that the new workspace is designed to develop amazing new computer programmes and robots in Physical Artificial Intelligence. These technologies are intended to support factories and manufacturing businesses by improving how everyday operations are managed and executed.

According to the company, the launch marks an important step in expanding these experience centres globally. By the end of 2026, it plans to operate a total of thirteen such centres, with six more expected to open soon. As businesses increasingly explore artificial intelligence for operations, these centres are designed to help turn pilot ideas into large scale deployments.

The new facility in Troy will allow manufacturing leaders to test advanced technologies firsthand, including robotic systems and humanoid machines equipped with intelligent sensors aimed at improving factory safety and efficiency.

The company notes that the centre allows manufacturing leaders to observe how intelligent machines function in real operational settings. These robots can autonomously navigate factory floors to monitor environmental conditions, detect potential equipment failures, and identify safety issues.

They are also capable of checking whether workers are following required safety protocols. By deploying such technologies, factories can identify problems earlier, maintain consistent product quality, and improve overall operational efficiency without constant manual supervision.

This new centre in Troy joins a growing family of other spaces that the company has already built in places like Bangalore, New York, Chennai, Riyadh, Singapore, and Sao Paulo. All of these spaces are part of a big network that connects new businesses, smart university students, and customers to the latest technology.

Through its collaboration with Google Cloud, the company aims to make advanced AI capabilities more accessible to businesses. The initiative is designed to help organisations adopt intelligent technologies more easily, enabling innovation and improving the efficiency of their operations worldwide.

Anupam Singhal, President of Manufacturing, TCS, said, “Physical AI is where intelligence moves to the edge into the real world of operations. With the launch of our Physical AI Gemini Experience Center for Manufacturing, we are enabling manufacturers to extend visibility and decision-making into environments that are difficult, risky, or inefficient for humans to access.”

“Designed with a human-in-the-loop approach, Physical AI operates alongside the workforce, strengthening safety and resilience. The real impact is creating future-ready industrial environments that are safer, more adaptive, and continuously aware at scale.” he added.

Saurabh Tiwary, VP and General Manager, Cloud AI, Google Cloud, said, “Our partnership with TCS focuses on accelerating the deployment of agentic AI where it delivers the most significant value to industrial operations. Through the new Physical AI Gemini Experience Center, we are equipping global manufacturers with the intelligence to build more autonomous, resilient, and data-driven enterprises, allowing them to fully optimize their business models with Google Cloud’s leading technology.”
