Jockey is marking 150 years with the launch of its new campaign, ‘150 Years Young’, as the brand looks to celebrate its legacy while highlighting how it has continued to evolve with changing consumer needs.
Launched by Page Industries Ltd., the exclusive licensee of JOCKEY International Inc. in India, the campaign is built around the tagline ‘Never Stopped. Never Will.’ It traces Jockey’s journey from its origins in hosiery to its expansion into multiple categories including athleisure, activewear and dedicated ranges for women, kids and Gen Z consumers.
Founded in 1876 as S.T. Cooper & Sons, Jockey has grown into a global comfort-wear brand with a presence across more than 120 countries. In India, Page Industries has been its exclusive licensee since 1994.
The brand’s India journey has increasingly moved beyond its traditional association with innerwear, with its portfolio expanding to address a wider range of everyday clothing and lifestyle needs.
Jockey’s expansion has also been supported by its manufacturing and distribution ecosystem. The company says the brand is currently available across more than 100,000 retail doors in India, including 1,500+ exclusive brand outlets.
The ‘150 Years Young’ campaign therefore positions the milestone not simply as a celebration of longevity, but as a reflection of Jockey’s continuing evolution across products, categories and consumer cohorts.
Speaking about the campaign, Nihal Rajan, Chief Marketing Officer, Jockey India, said, “150 years is a significant milestone for Jockey, yet it is just the beginning for us,”
He added, “Jockey’s India journey, over the last three decades, has been shaped by a deep understanding of evolving consumer needs, translated into product innovation, category expansion and a strong manufacturing and retail ecosystem. The ‘150 Years’ Campaign reflects a larger shift in how everyday wear is perceived from purely functional to deeply personal, with consumers seeking comfort that enables movement and self-expression. As innerwear and outerwear continue to converge, Jockey remains at the forefront of this shift, shaping how modern India experiences comfort in its most essential form.”
