Six years after the blockbuster success of Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, the saga gets a futuristic upgrade. Lens Vault Studios (LVS), founded by Ajay Devgn and Danish Devgn, has unveiled its first original production; Bal Tanhaji, a generative AI-powered series that promises to take audiences deeper into the Tanhaji universe.
This move signals a clear shift for the newly launched, tech-first studio. Lens Vault Studios is setting out to build story worlds that go beyond movie theatres and live across digital platforms. Powered by its in-house generative AI unit, Prismix Studios, the project combines advanced technology with strong storytelling, allowing cinematic-scale narratives to reach audiences in new, more accessible formats without losing their larger-than-life appeal.
Bal Tanhaji explores uncharted narrative territory within the Tanhaji world, expanding character arcs and plotlines that were previously unexplored on screen. By merging AI-generated visuals and scripts with human creativity, Lens Vault Studios is experimenting with storytelling formats that promise a fresh experience for audiences familiar with the franchise.
For Ajay Devgn, the launch signifies more than just a production milestone, it represents a vision to evolve content for a generation increasingly consuming stories digitally. “Our vision with Lens Vault Studios goes beyond high-end production values. We want to bring stories to life through formats that are still largely unexplored. Drawing from our experience in large-scale cinema, we’re now channelling that knowledge into new storytelling mediums. Bal Tanhaji is our first step in that direction.” he said.
Danish Devgn, CEO and Founder of LVS, added, “We’re excited to introduce Bal Tanhaji as our first generative-AI-led IP. Our vision is to carry the legacy of the Tanhaji universe forward and connect with the next generation through powerful storytelling that blends generative AI with new technologies. This is just the beginning of how we see stories evolving.”
