Partha Ghosh has joined JSW Group as Executive Vice President & Group Head of Communications, taking charge of the group’s communications function as he moves from the aviation sector back into a diversified business group.
He announced the move in a LinkedIn post and shared that he and his family are moving to Mumbai as part of this new chapter.
Ghosh joins JSW Group after more than three years with Air India, where he most recently served as Advisor to the CEO from February 2026 to September 2026, following his role as Global Head of Communications from May 2023 to September 2026.
Before Air India, Ghosh spent over eight years with Samsung Electronics, where he held several communications leadership positions. He served as VP & Head, Corporate Communications & Corporate Citizenship/CSR from January 2021 to May 2023, Vice President & Head, Corporate Communications from April 2017 to January 2021, and Director, Corporate Communications from October 2014 to March 2017.
Ghosh’s career began in journalism. He spent more than seven years with The Economic Times from March 2007 to October 2014, holding positions including Senior Editor, National Editor-Real Estate & Hospitality, Media & Entertainment & Luxury, Editor – The Economic Times on Sunday, Editor – The Economic Times Hindi, and Editor – Emerging Businesses, VC and Private Equity.
Earlier, he was Resident Editor at The Economic Times, Ahmedabad and Editor, The Economic Times Gujarati from March 2004 to May 2007.
Before joining The Economic Times, Ghosh worked with Business Standard as Special Correspondent from October 2000 to February 2004, Hindu Business Line as Principal Correspondent from January 1997 to October 2000, The Telegraph as Correspondent from January 1996 to January 1997, and Computers Today, India Today Group as Sub-editor from May 1994 to January 1996.
