boAt’s new Diwali campaign uses humorous situations featuring Ravi Kishan, Shreya Kalra and Sufi Motiwala to show how outdated audio devices and technology can disrupt festive gatherings, while spotlighting its personal audio, home entertainment, smartwatch and power bank ranges.
boAt has built the campaign around the idea of a ‘Festive Mismatch’: people upgrade their homes and wardrobes for Diwali but often overlook the devices they use every day. Its central thought, ‘Upgrade Your Audio Products Before People Around You Turn Into Critics’, turns that disconnect into the premise for three films.
Kishan appears in a workplace conversation where conflicting opinions create a comic situation before a boAt product addresses the audio issue. Kalra features at a festive party where poor audio and an unsuitable music choice threaten to affect the mood, while Motiwala brings the idea into a home gathering, where sound plays a part in the experience.
As part of its festive offers, boAt is offering discounts of up to 80% on its products through its website, Flipkart and Amazon.
The campaign uses familiar festive and social settings to connect everyday technology upgrades with Diwali shopping, making the case for consumers to consider their audio and entertainment devices alongside more conventional festive purchases.
