Amazon has officially inaugurated its newest corporate campus in North Bengaluru, marking the company’s second-largest office in Asia and one of the largest single-building corporate facilities globally. The sprawling new campus, spread over 1.1 million square feet across 12 storeys, is designed to accommodate more than 7,000 employees across multiple business functions.

The five-acre campus, located approximately 15 kilometres from Kempegowda International Airport, was inaugurated on 23 February 2026 in the presence of Dr M.B. Patil, Minister for Large & Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development, Government of Karnataka, underscoring Amazon’s long-term investment in India’s technology and innovation ecosystem.

The new Bengaluru campus brings together teams from e-commerce, operations, payments, technology, and seller services, fostering cross-functional collaboration under one roof. The workspaces are thoughtfully organised into self-sustaining neighbourhoods, featuring adaptable meeting rooms, huddle spaces, breakout zones and large event areas capable of hosting over 200 people  designed to support flexible working styles and teamwork at scale.

Aligned with Amazon’s global environmental goals, the Bengaluru campus incorporates sustainability features intended to reduce both embodied and operational carbon.

Amazon’s expansion in Bengaluru is part of a broader strategy to deepen its presence in India, where it has invested more than USD 40 billion over the past decade and has committed an additional USD 35 billion by 2030. This long-term capital allocation highlights India’s importance to Amazon’s global operations and its rapidly growing digital economy.

Speaking at the inauguration, Dr. M.B. Patil, says, “Amazon’s continued investment in Bengaluru reflects India’s growing role as a global technology and innovation hub. Large-scale campuses like Amazon’s new campus create high-quality jobs, strengthen local ecosystem, and support India’s digital economy. We welcome investments that build long-term capability and create opportunity for our workforce.”

Samir Kumar, Country Manager Amazon India, says, “India continues to be a long-term priority for Amazon, and Bengaluru has played a central role in our journey here. Over the years, the city has been home to some of our earliest technology and business teams, and today it remains a key hub for innovation and talent.”

“We are grateful to Dr. M.B. Patil for joining us to inaugurate this campus and for Government of Karnataka’s continued support. As we build for customers in India and around the world, we remain committed to investing in infrastructure, technology, and talent for the long term,” he adds.
