PhysicsWallah has partnered with Microsoft to roll out AI-focused certification programmes aimed at learners in India’s Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
The collaboration will see PhysicsWallah’s skilling arm, PW Skills, offer courses in Generative AI, Data Analytics, and Digital Marketing designed to align closely with real-world industry requirements and evolving hiring trends.
At the core of the initiative is a strong emphasis on hands-on, tool-based learning. The curriculum integrates Microsoft’s enterprise technologies including Copilot, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, GitHub, and Microsoft Office 365, enabling learners to work on practical workflows such as data visualisation, automation, and AI-driven campaign optimisation.
The programmes are structured to cater to students, job seekers, and early-career professionals, particularly in non-metro regions where access to advanced tech education has traditionally been limited. Introductory modules will be made available free on YouTube, while advanced tracks will lead to joint certifications from both organisations.
Executives from both companies highlighted the broader intent behind the partnership. PhysicsWallah’s leadership emphasised breaking geographical and socio-economic barriers in education, while Microsoft noted the need for scalable, employment-aligned skilling models tailored to India’s diverse learner base.
The move reflects a larger shift within India’s edtech sector from test preparation to outcome-driven skilling as companies respond to rising demand for job-ready capabilities over traditional degrees.
With AI adoption accelerating across industries and hiring increasingly favouring applied skills, the partnership positions both companies to tap into a rapidly growing upskilling market particularly in underserved regions that represent the next wave of India’s digital workforce.
