Lumikai has led a $400K pre-seed funding round in Meta Fashion, a startup building virtual fashion assets and digital-first fashion IPs for platforms such as Roblox, Fortnite, and ZEPETO.
The round also saw participation from investors including Big Bets, the family office of HUUUGE Games founder Anton Gauffin, along with Akshat Rathee and Pratham Mittal.
Founded in 2022 by 19-year-old entrepreneur Arjun Goel, the company positions itself as a “Zara for the Virtual World,” creating virtual fashion products for user-generated content (UGC) platforms and gaming ecosystems increasingly popular among Gen Z and Gen Alpha audiences.
Meta Fashion designs digital clothing and accessories for platforms including Roblox, Fortnite, Grand Theft Auto, and ZEPETO, while also operating a consumer-facing D2C line that converts successful virtual products into physical merchandise.
The startup’s co-founder, Sanjay Goel, brings experience across consumer technology, manufacturing, and exports, along with a background as a NIFT Delhi alumnus and founder of multiple startups.
At the centre of Meta Fashion’s business model is an AI-native “fast fashion” engine for virtual assets that analyses marketplace trends and consumer demand signals to rapidly create and distribute digital products.
According to the company, it has already sold more than 2.5 million virtual fashion units on Roblox, generating around $300K in gross merchandise value while operating at a reported 92% gross margin. The company is also building an original Roblox IP titled GlamGirls, a fashion and dress-up game that launched in beta in late 2025. Meta Fashion claims the game has attracted more than 100,000 paying users organically, with a largely female user base and significant adult participation.
The funding will be used to expand the company’s virtual fashion business, scale GlamGirls, and grow its presence across multiple UGC platforms globally.
Speaking about the company’s vision, Arjun Goel said “I’ve been creating on Roblox since I was 15, and I’ve watched it grow from a children’s gaming platform into one of the most powerful consumer ecosystems in the world. With Meta Fashion, we want to build the definitive consumer IP company for these new platforms, one that combines taste, speed, and a digital-to-physical flywheel that no traditional brand can replicate. Lumikai backed our vision from day one, and their depth in this ecosystem makes them the right partner to build this with.”
Aditya Deshpande said the investment reflects the growing importance of creator-led businesses and virtual economies within gaming ecosystems. “We first came across Arjun’s work while tinkering on Roblox. His virtual items stood out in the marketplace with a level of taste that was hard to miss. What sets Arjun apart is a rare combination of foresight to pre-empt aesthetic trends on UGC marketplaces and the commercial discipline to convert that signal into a profitable, capital efficient operation.”
“Meta Fashion sits at the intersection of two trends that drive our thesis on the space: the rise of UGC platforms as the next generation of consumer entertainment and the professionalization of creators on these platforms into real, venture-scale businesses. We’re truly thrilled to partner with Arjun.” he added.
