Delhi NCR based wearable startup Sychedelic has raised $3.5 million, or about Rs 31.5 crore, in a seed round backed by Cultadvisors, TurboStart, Ideabaaz and Praveek Ventures, along with angel investors. The company plans to use the new capital to expand manufacturing, strengthen research, increase marketing and support a global Kickstarter launch scheduled for June 2026.
Founded in 2020 by Ria Rustagi and Bhavya Madan, the startup originally operated as Neuphony, where it developed EEG based neurofeedback headbands for tracking brain activity and mental wellness indicators. It later pivoted to Sychedelic and is now building headphones designed to reduce stress, improve focus and support sleep through real time biofeedback and neuromodulation technologies.
Sychedelic says its headphones combine photoplethysmography sensors, adaptive audio and transcranial direct current stimulation to track stress and cognitive state in real time and respond accordingly. The company describes the product as a closed loop neuromodulation wearable in headphone form for everyday use.
According to the startup, more than 100 early users have tested the product over the past six months, helping refine the hardware and adaptive algorithms. Sychedelic also says it has received approval from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation and filed global patent applications for its technology.
Sychedelic currently operates across India and the United States, with a Delaware based entity, a science adviser in New York and freelance marketing support for its international operations. The company is positioning itself in a market where wearable devices are increasingly being built for health, wellbeing and specialised use cases.
