With the FIFA World Cup 2026 just around the corner, Coca-Cola has found a new way to build excitement among football fans. The beverage giant’s limited-edition Coca-Cola soccer ball bottles have started appearing at Walmart stores across the United States, quickly gaining attention on social media and among collectors.

Designed to resemble soccer balls, the bottles feature red, white and blue graphics inspired by the upcoming tournament, which will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Coca-Cola Soccer Ball Bottles Become a Fan Favourite

The limited-edition packaging has sparked significant buzz online, with Instagram pages and fan accounts sharing photos of the bottles as shoppers rush to find them at select Walmart locations. The collectible design taps into both football fandom and the growing demand for branded memorabilia ahead of major sporting events.

Interestingly, Coca-Cola has not yet announced a nationwide rollout or confirmed how widely available the bottles will be. That uncertainty has only added to their appeal, with fans treating them as potential collector’s items rather than just another soft drink.

Coca-Cola’s FIFA World Cup 2026 Campaign Is Getting Bigger

The soccer ball bottles are part of a broader Coca-Cola World Cup campaign tied to FIFA World Cup 2026. As one of FIFA’s longest-standing sponsors, Coca-Cola has launched several football-themed activations leading up to the tournament.

Among them are special Panini stickers hidden under select Coca-Cola and Coca-Cola Zero Sugar labels, collectible FIFA-themed glass bottles, sweepstakes for match-day experiences and opportunities for fans to win official FIFA World Cup merchandise.

The strategy reflects a growing trend in sports marketing where brands transform everyday products into collectibles, encouraging consumers to engage with the brand beyond the purchase itself.

With the FIFA World Cup 2026 set to kick off on June 11, the soccer ball bottles could be the first of several World Cup-themed activations fans see from the beverage giant this summer.
