Canva has introduced Canva Offline, a new feature that allows users to continue creating and editing designs even when internet access is limited or unavailable.
The AI-powered visual communication platform said the feature is designed to address one of the most common challenges faced by users: connectivity interruptions. With Offline Mode, users can continue working on their projects while travelling, attending meetings, teaching in remote locations, or operating in areas with inconsistent network coverage.
First unveiled at Canva Create earlier this year, the feature was developed in response to one of the most frequently requested demands from Canva’s global user community. The company noted that the capability is particularly relevant in markets such as India, where digital adoption continues to grow rapidly but internet connectivity can vary across regions.
Offline Mode allows users to save designs for offline access and continue creating across devices and formats. Once an internet connection is restored, all changes are automatically synced, ensuring a seamless workflow.
Canva said the feature will be available to all users at no additional cost. Users can access Offline Mode by selecting the ‘Make available offline’ option, eliminating the need for extra downloads, subscriptions or complex setup processes.
“With more than a billion designs created in the last year alone, India has emerged as one of Canva’s fastest-growing and most creative communities globally. Offline mode reflects our commitment to building for the way India creates today: mobile-first, always moving, and full of ideas. By making creativity more accessible and flexible, we’re empowering millions of people to keep bringing great ideas to life – wherever inspiration strikes,” said Rob Kawalsky, Global Head of Product, Canva.
