Apsara by Hindustan Pencils has partnered with Swiggy Dineout to introduce the Apsara PlayPad, a screen-free activity placemat designed to keep children engaged while dining at restaurants. The initiative encourages creativity and family interaction by replacing screen time with hands-on activities.
The Apsara PlayPad is being rolled out across more than 50+ restaurants in eight cities. It features colouring pages, puzzles, mazes, word games, and other creative activities to keep children entertained while they wait for their meals.
The collaboration was inspired by a simple question: how can children stay engaged at restaurants without being handed a mobile phone or tablet? Instead of relying on technology, Apsara and Swiggy Dineout have chosen paper, pencils, and creativity to make waiting time more enjoyable.
According to the companies, the initiative aims to enhance the family dining experience while encouraging children to explore their imagination through fun, interactive activities.
