Flipkart has partnered with Netflix to offer its Plus members access to the Netflix Mobile Plan based on their monthly shopping activity. The benefit will go live on August 1, 2026.
Under the programme, Flipkart Plus members who complete four qualifying orders worth Rs 299 or more each within a calendar month will receive access to the Netflix Mobile Plan for 30 days.
Qualifying purchases can be made across Flipkart, Flipkart Minutes and Flipkart Grocery. Once a member completes the fourth eligible order, the Netflix benefit can be activated through the Flipkart app without an additional payment.
Unlike conventional subscription bundles, the Netflix plan is tied to shopping activity rather than being included permanently with the membership. After the 30-day access period ends, members will need to meet the four-order requirement again to unlock another month.
The partnership extends Flipkart Plus rewards beyond discounts and shopping-related benefits into entertainment. It also encourages customers to consolidate purchases across Flipkart’s main marketplace, grocery service and quick commerce platform. Customers who are not currently Flipkart Plus members can qualify for the membership after completing 15 orders within 12 months, without paying a membership fee.
The initiative comes as ecommerce platforms increasingly use loyalty programmes to offer benefits outside their core shopping services. For Flipkart, the Netflix partnership links recurring shopping behaviour with entertainment access, potentially increasing engagement across categories including groceries and daily essentials.
The programme will be available to eligible customers across India, including those in metro, Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets.
Ravi Iyer, CFO and SVP, Strategic Partnerships, Flipkart said, “As grocery, daily essentials and quick commerce become an increasingly important part of how customers shop, we see a significant opportunity to make those everyday interactions more rewarding.
“Completing four orders a month is already a natural shopping pattern for many of our customers, and this partnership transforms that everyday behaviour into access to world-class entertainment,” he said.
He further added, “Loyalty is evolving towards experiences that customers truly value, and partnering with Netflix is our way of delivering exactly that. It is another step in the evolution of Flipkart Plus, as we continue to build a programme that delivers real value for our customers across more aspects of their everyday lives.”
Laurent Uguen, Vice President APAC Partnerships – Business Development, Netflix shared, “India is one of the most exciting entertainment markets in the world, and the strongest partnerships are built around real consumer habits.”
He furter added, “Flipkart is part of everyday shopping for millions of Indians, and together we are giving Flipkart Plus members a simple, rewarding way to unlock one month of Netflix Mobile through their monthly shopping milestones.”
“This is Netflix’s first e-commerce partnership in India, and it reflects the kind of high-impact, consumer-first collaborations we want to build –simple, rewarding and anchored in the way Flipkart Plus members already shop and engage,” he added.
