Deepinder Goyal-founded healthtech startup Temple has reportedly doubled its valuation to $375 million through a secondary share transaction and an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) liquidity programme, according to multiple media reports. The reported valuation is nearly twice the $190 million valuation at which the startup raised its seed funding earlier this year.

According to reports, Temple has rolled out its first ESOP liquidity programme, enabling around 20 eligible employees to sell up to 25% of their vested ESOPs. The move is aimed at providing early liquidity to employees before the startup closes its next funding round.

The development comes amid growing investor interest in Temple. An internal memo, cited in media reports, indicates that the startup is already attracting interest from external investors at a $500 million valuation, ahead of its next capital raise.

The reported valuation jump also underscores growing investor confidence in India’s health technology and wearable devices sector. Temple had previously raised $54 million in seed funding from investors including Peak XV Partners and Steadview Capital, among others, at a valuation of around $190 million.

While Temple has not officially announced a new funding round, reports indicate that the company is expected to raise fresh capital in the coming months as it prepares to bring its first wearable device to market.
