HOCCO Brings ‘Mirzapur’ To The Ice Cream Aisle With Bullet-Inspired Launch

HOCCO Ice Cream has teamed up with the Mirzapur franchise for a limited-edition Bullet Ice Cream, bringing one of the show’s most recognisable visual cues into the food category.

The collaboration comes ahead of the theatrical release of Mirzapur: The Movie and uses the franchise’s familiar world of guns, power and bhaukaal to create a product that connects directly with its pop-culture identity.

The idea is deliberately straightforward: take the bullet, a recurring symbol associated with Mirzapur, and recreate it as an ice-cream format.

The launch communication adopts the show’s distinctive tone, with the line “Ilaka apna, rules apna aur… bullet bhi apni.” The product is also being positioned with the playful thought of bringing it “From the streets of Mirzapur to your freezer.”

Rather than simply placing the Mirzapur logo on an existing product, the collaboration translates an element from the show’s universe into the product itself. That gives the partnership a stronger connection between the entertainment property and the consumer experience.

The Bullet Ice Cream is set to be available through several quick-commerce and e-commerce platforms, including Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, Flipkart Minutes, Amazon and bigbasket. It will also be available through HOCCO’s Huber & Holly outlets.

For HOCCO, the partnership also fits its broader approach of using unusual formats and cultural references to make ice cream launches more distinctive. The brand has previously built campaigns around unconventional products and formats, including Aamchi, Leemo, BIX, Oh Cone and Bun Maska aur Jam.
