D2C luggage and travel lifestyle brand Mokobara has raised Rs 170 Cr, or around $18 Mn, in a Series C funding round led by Sauce.vc. The round also saw participation from Peak XV Partners, AYRA Ventures, Niveshaay Investment, and other existing investors.
The latest Mokobara funding comes as India’s luggage market sees growing demand for branded and premium products, driven by higher travel activity and changing consumer preferences. Sauce.vc Vice President Karan Kathpalia said the firm contributed Rs 109 Cr to the round.
Mokobara Funding Details And Investor Participation
According to regulatory filings, Mokobara’s board approved the issue of 1,300 Series C compulsorily convertible preference shares at Rs 6.2 lakh each. The issue amounts to Rs 80 Cr, while another allotment of 199 shares at Rs 5.4 lakh apiece raised an additional Rs 10.7 Cr.
The filings do not provide details on the remaining amount of nearly Rs 80 Cr reported as part of the Rs 170 Cr fundraise. Mokobara has not yet issued a formal statement providing further details about the complete funding round.
Founded in 2019 by Sangeet Agrawal and Navin Parwal, Mokobara sells luggage, travel bags, wallets, kits and sling bags through its online platform and marketplaces including Amazon and Flipkart. The company operates around 50 stores across Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai and Pune and entered the UAE market in February 2025 with a store at BurJuman Mall in Dubai.
Mokobara had previously raised $12 Mn at a valuation of $80 Mn in 2024, with Peak XV Partners leading the round. The brand competes with D2C and new age luggage players such as Wildcraft, Urban Monkey, Uppercase and Eume, along with established brands including VIP and American Tourister.
