Birla Opus Paints has rolled out a new digital film to celebrate Pongal, capturing the warmth of family traditions, festive togetherness and the joy of fresh beginnings. Launched for its Style Colour Smart Interior range, the campaign has brought Tamil Nadu’s festive spirit to life by showing how vibrant, thoughtfully chosen colours have transformed everyday homes into spaces of celebration.

Set within a traditional joint family household, the film has followed a young newlywed couple as they have prepared their home for Pongal. As conversations around selecting the right colour palette have unfolded, the narrative has gently highlighted how freshly painted interiors have enhanced the mood of the festival. From kolam-making to festive preparations, the film has woven together familiar moments that have reflected the rhythm of everyday life in a Tamilian home.

At the heart of the story, an emotional moment of connection has taken centre stage. When the daughter-in-law has been reminded of her own family’s Pongal traditions, her husband has surprised her by inviting her parents to join the celebrations. As both families have come together under one roof, the film has reinforced the true essence of Pongal — togetherness, warmth and shared joy.
