The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KRAFTON India Pvt. Ltd. to support startups, innovators, and entrepreneurs working across digital and emerging technology domains.
The partnership is focused on fostering the growth of product-based startups operating in sectors such as digital entertainment, online gaming, esports, interactive media, and artificial intelligence-driven technologies. Through this collaboration, startups will gain access to structured industry engagement aimed at building scalable and market-ready solutions.
As part of the initiative, participating startups will be provided mentorship, industry insights, knowledge-sharing platforms, and curated engagement opportunities. The programme is also designed to support startups in achieving key milestones, including Proof-of-Concept (PoC) development, market access, and integration into industry ecosystems, wherever applicable.
The MoU will also see both entities exploring the organisation of innovation-driven initiatives under the Bharat Startup Grand Challenge, including targeted hackathons, workshops, and masterclasses. These programmes will focus on key areas such as game design, animation, immersive technologies, esports management, and AI applications.
Beyond direct startup support, the initiative will contribute to ecosystem-building efforts, including outreach activities and participation in Startup India programmes to enhance engagement across the broader entrepreneurial landscape.
The MoU was signed by Deputy Secretary, DPIIT, Shri T. L. K. Singh and Head of Government Relations, KRAFTON India, Shri Vibhor Kukreti, in the presence of senior officials from both organisations.
