Abhinav Rastogi has been promoted as Global Marketing Director (GMD) for YouTube Shopping at Google. In this role, he will lead global marketing for YouTube Shopping, focusing on building the creator commerce ecosystem, expanding the platform across markets, and driving growth by connecting creators, viewers, and merchants.
Rastogi announced the appointment through a post on LinkedIn.
Rastogi has been associated with Google for over 12 years, holding multiple leadership roles across regions. He has been serving as Global Marketing Director for YouTube Shopping since February 2026. Prior to this, he worked as Director of Marketing for YouTube Asia Pacific from December 2022 to February 2026.
Before that, he served as Group Product Marketing Manager for Consumer Apps from January 2022 to December 2022 across Gurgaon and Singapore. Earlier, he held the role of Product Marketing Manager for Consumer Apps and YouTube from October 2016 to December 2021. He also worked as Product Marketing Manager for Small and Medium Business at Google India from December 2013 to September 2016.
Alongside his corporate role, he has been active as an angel investor since June 2022, focusing on early stage technology startups across India and Southeast Asia, and has been a member of XA Network since March 2023.
Earlier in his career, he worked as Consultant at Boston Consulting Group from September 2012 to December 2013. Prior to that, he served as Associate at A.T. Kearney from June 2010 to September 2012, and Business Analyst at Evalueserve from June 2007 to June 2008.
