Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) has announced its new ‘Dive Together’ campaign, aimed at encouraging certified divers to introduce people to scuba diving. This initiative positions them as ambassadors for the sport by using the PADI Open Water Diver Learning program, making the entry into diving more accessible and social.
According to PADI, the campaign is built around a referral based contest, where participants can share a unique link within their network. The company states that selected winners will receive Cressi Raffaello Dive Computers, while the top referrer by the end of 2026 will win a luxury dive trip for two to Madinat Coraya on Egypt’s Red Sea coast.
PADI adds that the Dive Together movement reflects a larger shift towards experiential travel, where peer communities play a key role in driving participation. The company also highlights that its eLearning model allows new divers to complete theory online before practical training, helping lower entry barriers and build a more connected global diving community.
Vinod Bondi, PADI Regional Manager for India and Sri Lanka, said, “India has plenty of world-class diving locations in Lakshadweep and Andaman Islands, in addition to mainland destinations like Puducherry, Goa, Kerala, and more. So naturally, more Indians are learning to dive in recent years.”
“Scuba diving is not just about exploring the ocean but sharing the experience. As a buddy activity, diving becomes more exciting and meaningful when shared with others. We hope campaigns like ‘Dive Together’ incentivise and encourage more people to share the joy of discovering the underwater world together.” he added.
