Pet healthcare startup Vetic has raised $40 million in a fresh funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners (BVP), as the company looks to accelerate its expansion across pet clinics, at-home veterinary services, and pet insurance offerings in India.
The round also saw participation from existing investors including Greenoaks Capital, tech investor Lachy Groom, and JSW Ventures, underscoring continued investor confidence in India’s growing pet care ecosystem.
Founded by Gaurav Ajmera, Vetic operates a tech-enabled pet healthcare platform that combines veterinary clinics, diagnostics, grooming, wellness services, and digital healthcare solutions under a single ecosystem.
The fresh capital will be used to expand Vetic’s network of pet clinics, strengthen its home veterinary care services, and build out its insurance offerings as it seeks to address the growing demand for organized pet healthcare in India.
The startup currently operates a network of clinics across multiple cities and offers services including consultations, diagnostics, surgeries, vaccinations, grooming, and emergency care. Through its digital platform, pet parents can also book appointments, access medical records, and connect with veterinarians.
The investment comes at a time when India’s pet care industry is witnessing rapid growth, driven by rising pet ownership, increasing spending on animal wellness, and greater awareness around preventive healthcare for pets.
According to information shared by investor JSW Ventures, India’s pet care market is estimated at around $3.4 billion and continues to expand as consumers seek more structured and professional healthcare solutions for their pets.
Vetic has positioned itself as a full-stack pet healthcare platform, offering both physical and digital services. The company says its mission is to make quality veterinary care more accessible while modernizing a sector that has traditionally been fragmented and underserved.
With the new capital, Vetic is expected to deepen its presence in existing markets while expanding into new cities and strengthening its technology-led approach to pet healthcare delivery.
