Punjab National Bank (PNB) has signed Indian Women’s Cricket Captain and World Cup Champion Harmanpreet Kaur as the Bank’s first female brand ambassador. This association marks a step in PNB’s brand transformation efforts.
The announcement took place at the Bank’s Corporate Office under the theme ‘Banking On Champions’. The event was attended by Shri M. Nagaraju, Secretary (FS), Harmanpreet Kaur, PNB MD and CEO Shri Ashok Chandra, PNB Executive Directors Shri M. Paramasivam, Shri Bibhu Prasad Mahapatra, Shri D. Surendran, Shri Amit Kumar Srivastava, CVO Shri Raghavendra Kumar, and senior Bank officials.
Harmanpreet Kaur was presented with a framed PNB jersey bearing her name and number, along with a custom-engraved PNB bat. As her first formal activity as brand ambassador, she joined Shri M. Nagaraju and PNB MD and CEO Ashok Chandra in unveiling four financial products PNB RuPay Metal Credit Card Luxura, PNB One 2.0, Digi Surya Ghar, and PNB’s onboarding on the IIBX Portal. These launches reflect PNB’s focus on digital services and customer-oriented offerings.
PNB’s RuPay Metal Credit Card Luxura is a credit card designed for customers seeking specific privileges and value. PNB also launched PNB One 2.0, the updated version of its mobile app, and Digi Surya Ghar for financing rooftop solar power systems. The Bank has also been onboarded on the International Bullion Exchange (IIBX).
Speaking on the occasion, Shri M. Nagaraju, Secretary, (FS), said: “Harmanpreet Kaur has made India proud by making the women cricket team win for the first time and inspired millions of young aspirants. As for PNB, they have been doing a tremendous job, especially the MSME campaign and launching of this metal credit card has added a product for the elite group. He also expressed his pleasure on PNB being onboarded on IIBX for gold bullion online trading.”
