Praxis Home Retail has elevated Shashwat Nigam to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its home goods brand, HomeTown. In this role, Nigam is tasked with rebuilding the brand, enhancing its omnichannel capabilities, and directing sustainable long-term growth.
The company announced the leadership change via LinkedIn.
Previously, he served as a strategic consultant for the rebuilding of HomeTown from July 2025 to January 2026.
Prior to his current mandate, Nigam served as Business Head Retail and Vice President at Entero Healthcare from July 2023 to November 2024.
Earlier, between September 2021 and April 2023, he focused on building and scaling ventures. He was Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Livspace backed InDepot, where he built a B2B and B2C omnichannel platform for home renovation materials and launched private labels. He later joined Open Secret as Chief Business Officer (CBO), helping reposition it as a curated B2C platform for healthy food and beverages with over one hundred brands.
Nigam built his core operational expertise during a fourteen year stint at Hindustan Unilever (HUL) from October 2007 to September 2021. In his final role as Senior Manager Supply Chain Planning Excellence from April 2020 to September 2021, he led digital strategy and operations transformation across Asia. Earlier, he worked as a procurement leader from December 2013 to March 2020 and drove major cost saving programmes across packaging and foods in South Asia.
He also led customer facing supply chains for modern trade retailers between May 2011 and November 2013, and began his career managing capital expenditure projects for new factory executions from October 2007 to February 2010, leading large on site teams.
