Practo has appointed Cijo George as its new Vice President – AI, where he will be responsible for building technical systems that deliver measurable impact at scale, equipping doctors with sharper insights, and driving real efficiency to improve overall healthcare outcomes.
The company announced his appointment in a LinkedIn post.
Previously, George spent over four years at Observe.AI, where he most recently served as the Director of Engineering for the AI Platform from February 2025 to January 2026. During his tenure at the firm, he also held the roles of Senior Manager of Machine Learning and Engineering from August 2023 to January 2025, and Manager of Machine Learning from June 2021 to July 2023.
Before a brief career break between January 2021 and May 2021, George worked at Belong.co, ultimately serving as the Head of Platform and AI from December 2019 to December 2020. Earlier at Belong.co, he worked as the Technical Lead for AI from January 2019 to November 2019, and as a Senior Data Scientist from February 2018 to December 2018.
Prior to this, George spent over five years in the Advanced Technology Group within the CTO Office at NetApp, operating as a Member of Technical Staff III from August 2015 to January 2018, and Member of Technical Staff II from August 2012 to July 2015.
