The Wedding Company has raised $2.75 million, or about Rs 25 crore, in a seed funding round led by Wellingdon Advisors. The round also saw participation from LVX, Tremis Capital and angel investors, including Vivek Mathur, Rahul Garg, Apurva Patel, and Synergy Capital Partners.
The Bengaluru-based startup is a tech-enabled, full-service wedding planning platform founded in 2023 by Pawan Gupta and Rahul Namdev. It offers wedding services for venues, décor, catering, photography, and logistics, working with more than 2,000 verified vendors across multiple cities.
The company said the fresh capital will be used to strengthen its wedding services catalogue, build a stronger category management function and expand its vendor partner network. The aim is to standardise service delivery at scale while supporting a more organised wedding planning process.
The startup is targeting faster growth in India’s wedding market
The Wedding Company said it is trying to simplify India’s fragmented $130 billion wedding industry by bringing key services onto a single platform. It is positioning itself as a premium wedding planning and fulfilment option for couples and families in India and abroad.
According to the company, its service order value rose from Rs 51 crore in FY25 to Rs 115 crore in FY26, marking 125% growth. It is now targeting Rs 350 crore in service orders in FY27, supported by an expected 1,500 new wedding bookings.
The startup had earlier raised $1 million in a pre-seed round co-led by LVX and Tremis Capital, with participation from investors including Wakefit co-founder Chaitanya Ramalingegowda, Ajith Pai and Arash Ferdowsi. In the mid AOV wedding segment, it competes with players such as Meragi and Weddingz.in, VenueMonk and WedMeGood.
