Flipkart Minutes Expands To 1,000 Stores As Quick Commerce Race Heats Up

Flipkart is accelerating its push into quick commerce, announcing that Flipkart Minutes has expanded its network to 1,000 dark stores across India, a significant milestone in the company’s efforts to strengthen its position in one of the country’s fastest-growing e-commerce segments. The expansion comes amid intensifying competition from rivals including Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, Zepto, and Amazon.

According to reports, the company has rapidly scaled its infrastructure over the past year as consumer demand for ultra-fast deliveries continues to rise. Flipkart Minutes, which offers deliveries of groceries, daily essentials, electronics, and other products within minutes, is increasingly becoming a key part of Flipkart’s broader commerce strategy. The company has been investing aggressively in dark stores and fulfilment infrastructure to support this growth.

The expansion reflects the growing importance of quick commerce in India’s retail landscape. What began as a grocery-focused service has evolved into a broader category that now includes electronics, beauty products, personal care items, home essentials, and other high-frequency purchases. Companies are competing not only on delivery speed but also on assortment, convenience, and customer experience.

Flipkart’s latest move comes at a time when competition in the sector is reaching new levels. Amazon has been ramping up its own quick commerce ambitions in India, while established players such as Zepto, Swiggy and Blinkit continue to expand their networks and offerings. Industry players are investing heavily in warehousing, technology, and logistics to capture market share in urban centres where demand.
