AI company Anthropic has appointed Surajj Gurav to its India Go-to-Market (GTM) team, marking another key leadership addition as the company accelerates its expansion in the Indian market. Gurav announced the appointment through a LinkedIn post, where he shared that he had joined Anthropic’s India team.
In his new role, Gurav will be part of Anthropic’s growing GTM organisation, working to drive the adoption of the company’s AI offerings, including its Claude family of models, among enterprises and businesses in India. The appointment comes as Anthropic continues to strengthen its commercial presence in the country under the leadership of Irina Ghose, Head of India.
Before joining Anthropic, Gurav held business development and enterprise technology roles, most recently at Google Cloud, where he worked on AI- and cloud-focused enterprise solutions. His experience spans enterprise sales, strategic partnerships and go-to-market strategy, aligning with Anthropic’s focus on expanding enterprise adoption of generative AI.
Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Gurav wrote: “I’m delighted to share that I’ve joined Anthropic…”
He added that he was excited to contribute to the company’s mission of building safe and reliable AI while supporting customers across India’s rapidly evolving AI ecosystem.
Anthropic has been steadily expanding its footprint in India through enterprise partnerships, local pricing for Claude AI subscriptions and strategic hiring. Earlier this year, the company introduced India-specific pricing for Claude Pro, Max and Team plans, while also strengthening collaborations with Indian enterprises to drive AI adoption.
