Shonali Chakravarty has joined United Breweries as Communications, Sustainability and CSR Leader, moving from Lenovo, where she spent more than six years leading enterprise communications across Asia Pacific.
She announced the move through a post on LinkedIn.
Chakravarty joined United Breweries in August 2026, where she will oversee communications, reputation, sustainability, CSR and stakeholder engagement for the company in India.
Prior to United Breweries, she spent more than six years at Lenovo across senior communications roles. Most recently, she served as APAC Enterprise Tech Communications Leader for the Infrastructure Solutions Group and Solutions and Services Group from December 2024 to August 2026.
Before that, she served as the APAC Communications Leader for Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group from July 2020 to December 2024.
Earlier, Chakravarty served as Director Corporate Communications at OYO from January 2019 to July 2020. Before OYO, she spent nearly three years at Uber in policy and corporate communications roles, including Head, Corporate and Policy Communications for India and South Asia, from July 2018 to January 2019; Head, Policy Communications, from February 2017 to July 2018; and Lead, Strategic Communications, from August 2016 to February 2017.
She also worked at Essar as Lead, Strategic Communications and Digital Communications, from July 2014 to August 2016, and at Marsh as a Marketing and Communications Specialist, from April 2014 to July 2015.
Before that, Chakravarty was a Senior Account Executive at Edelman from March 2010 to March 2012.
