For decades, Indian entrepreneurs have had to battle more than competition. They have had to fight a familiar question: Can India really build world class products and companies?
Amazon MX Player‘s latest campaign film takes that skepticism head on.
The film opens with actor Jim Sarbh delivering a stark monologue built around the doubts and dismissive remarks that have long surrounded Indian innovation. What follows is a fast paced montage of founders and business leaders repeating the criticism once directed at their industries, from technology and education to health, beauty, food, and space exploration.
Then comes the turning point.
‘But India can. And India did.’
The second half of the film flips the narrative. Founders who once faced skepticism return to highlight what their companies have achieved. The lineup includes Gaurav Khatri of Noise, Ankur Warikoo, Pavan Guntupalli of Rapido, RS Sodhi of Amul, Jitendra Chouksey of Fittr, Parul Gulati of Nish Hair, Sandeep Engineer of Astral, Pawan Kumar Chandana of Skyroot Aerospace, Shashank Mehta of The Whole Truth Foods, Abdul Majeed of Hamdard Laboratories, and Diipa Büller Khosla of Inde Wild.
Together, they represent a wide cross section of India’s startup and business ecosystem, spanning smart wearables, dairy, education, fitness, beauty, clean food, traditional medicine, and private space technology.
The campaign also ties these contemporary success stories to the legacy of Xerxes Desai, the visionary behind Titan, drawing a connection between India’s early industrial pioneers and a new generation of founders building brands with global ambitions.
Released across Amazon MX Player’s digital platforms, the film serves as a lead up to Made in India: A Titan Story, an upcoming series starring Naseeruddin Shah and Jim Sarbh. More than a promotional piece, the campaign taps into a broader conversation around how Indian entrepreneurship has evolved from proving its credibility to defining entire categories on the global stage.
As per the brand, through the stories of founders who challenged conventional thinking and built category defining companies, the campaign reflects on the persistence, ambition, and belief that have shaped India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem over the years.
