Amazon MX Player's 'From India Can't To India Did' Campaign Reframes India's Entrepreneurial Journey

For years, Indian entrepreneurs have battled not just competition but the belief that India could not build globally competitive brands or products. Amazon MX Player’s ‘From India Can’t To India Did’ places that scepticism at the heart of its storytelling.

Released ahead of Made in India: A Titan Story, the campaign brings together founders from diverse industries to reflect on the evolution of India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The film was conceptualised by Amazon MX Player’s in-house brand and creative team in collaboration with director Robbie Grewal. It uses a simple narrative reversal, beginning with familiar criticisms before showcasing the businesses that proved them wrong.

Actor Jim Sarbh opens the film with a monologue built around doubts that have long surrounded Indian innovation. The narrative then pivots on the line, ‘But India can. And India did’, as founders share how they overcame scepticism to build successful companies.

The Campaign Turns Real Entrepreneurial Journeys Into Its Strongest Message

The campaign’s defining moment arrives with the line ‘But India can.’ And India did. From there, it shifts from scepticism to proof, with founders sharing how they overcame the doubts once surrounding their industries.

The film features business leaders, including Gaurav Khatri of Noise, Ankur Warikoo, Pavan Guntupalli of Rapido, RS Sodhi of Amul, Jitendra Chouksey of Fittr, Parul Gulati of Nish Hair, Sandeep Engineer of Astral, Pawan Kumar Chandana of Skyroot Aerospace, Shashank Mehta of The Whole Truth Foods, Abdul Majeed of Hamdard Laboratories, and Diipa Büller Khosla of Inde Wild, highlighting the diversity of India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The campaign also connects these modern success stories with the legacy of Xerxes Desai, positioning today’s startup founders as part of India’s longer journey of innovation. By celebrating collective progress rather than individual achievements, the film becomes more than a promotional piece; it reflects India’s rise as a global hub for entrepreneurship.

Why Amazon MX Player’s Campaign

Many brand films celebrate success. This campaign stands out because it begins with the doubts and criticism Indian entrepreneurs faced, making its eventual message feel authentic and impactful.

Rather than focusing on one founder or industry, it brings together voices from startups, legacy businesses, consumer brands, healthcare, fitness, and space technology, presenting a broader picture of India’s entrepreneurial evolution.

Its storytelling, built around the shift from skepticism to achievement, makes the campaign memorable. ‘From India Can’t To India Did’ captures how India’s business landscape has evolved from proving its potential to showcasing globally recognised companies.
