Apple has rolled out a new campaign for the iPhone 17, blending storytelling, humour, and cultural nuance. The campaign, titled “Why switch to iPhone?”, uses a fictional royal court setting to showcase how the device handles everyday problems with ease.

Launched on April 26, the campaign features a series of six short films, each built around a common smartphone-related challenge. Set inside a palace, the narrative follows a recurring format: a royal messenger bursts into court with urgent, often chaotic updates ranging from misplaced devices to last-minute disruptions only for the iPhone 17 to quietly resolve the situation.

Each film focuses on a specific feature, simplifying Apple’s technology into real-life use cases. For instance, the “Find My” feature is shown helping locate lost devices, even when offline, while fast-charging capabilities highlight how the phone can quickly power up during urgent moments.

The campaign also spotlights newer capabilities such as visual intelligence tools, which allow users to scan objects or text and instantly retrieve relevant information or actions. In one scenario, this feature helps identify and replace a damaged item within seconds, demonstrating how the device integrates real-world problem-solving into everyday usage.

Camera innovations form another key pillar of storytelling. Features like Centre Stage automatically adjust framing to include more subjects in photos, while Dual Capture enables simultaneous recording from front and rear cameras. These functionalities are woven into the narrative in light-hearted ways, making technical upgrades feel intuitive and practical.

Using dual capture the king shoots a baking vlog using both front and rear cameras at once, capturing his instructions alongside the step-by-step process.

Faced with an earlier departure, the king rapidly boosts his battery to 50% within 20 minutes with a fast charging feature in iPhone 17.
