Canva experienced a brief service disruption on Friday, leaving several users in India and other markets unable to access the platform, edit designs, or load existing projects. The outage triggered a wave of complaints across social media, with users reporting that the platform had stopped working during active design sessions.
As reports mounted, Canva acknowledged the issue through its official X account, confirming that its engineering teams were investigating the problem. The company posted: “We’re on it! We’re aware some people are having trouble accessing Canva. We’re working as quickly as we can to get things back up and running.” It also directed users to its status page for live updates.
According to Canva’s official status page, the incident primarily affected users trying to access the platform, with some also encountering “Page Not Found” errors while opening designs. The company later said it had identified the issue and was actively working on a resolution before confirming that the disruption had been resolved.
The outage sparked reactions from designers, marketers, students and content creators, many of whom took to X to share screenshots and memes about being unable to meet deadlines. Canva is widely used for creating presentations, social media creatives, marketing collateral and educational content, making even short outages noticeable for its large user base.
