District by Zomato has launched a new campaign for District Play, its sports and recreational experiences platform, featuring a floating pickleball court set on a lake surrounded by greenery. The campaign highlights the growing popularity of pickleball and focuses on positioning sports and leisure activities as accessible, friction free urban experiences.
The film is set at Area 83 and shows players participating in a pickleball match on a court placed at the centre of a lake, alongside branded umpire and seating elements carrying the District Play identity. The campaign focuses on themes of convenience, premium leisure and simplified access to recreational activities without traditional booking or logistical challenges.
District Play is positioned as a platform that allows users to book and access a range of sports facilities including pickleball courts, badminton courts, football turfs, cricket nets, tennis courts, basketball courts, swimming pools and volleyball courts. The company said the platform is designed to reduce friction around discovering and booking recreational spaces.
The campaign also reflects the growing popularity of pickleball in urban markets globally and in India, particularly among younger audiences and premium lifestyle consumers. District Play said the platform is focused on users looking for flexible and on demand sports and leisure experiences across cities. According to the company, the campaign was conceptualised in house as part of District’s broader positioning around experiences, recreation and urban lifestyle engagement.
