DoorDash is expanding its India operations with a new global technology hub in Technology Hub, with plans to create 3,000 jobs over the next two years. The centre opened on September 30 and will initially focus on customer support and general and administrative functions.
The Hyderabad facility will start with around 500 professionals and will become DoorDash’s third customer support-focused operations centre globally, after its facilities in Tempe, Arizona, and Mexico City. The centre is expected to support DoorDash’s operations beyond India rather than functioning solely as a domestic support office.
DoorDash Expands Its India Footprint Beyond Pune
The Hyderabad hub is DoorDash’s second technology office in India. The company already has a presence in Pune, where it runs software, data and analytics operations that came through its 2021 acquisition of robotics startup Chowbotics.
The move also places DoorDash among a growing list of global companies setting up or expanding offshore operations in Hyderabad. Costco, McDonald’s, Charles Schwab, Marriott and Southwest Airlines are among the companies that have opened centres in the city in recent months.
DoorDash’s expansion comes as companies increasingly use global capability centres (GCCs) to build in-house capabilities in offshore markets, while reducing dependence on external IT contractors. India has more than 2,100 GCCs employing about 2.36 million people, according to a 2026 Nasscom-Zinnov
