Flipkart Brings Rohit Sharma, Jackie Shroff, Samay Raina & CID’s Aditya Srivastava Together For Big Billion Days

The nearly five-minute film places a man inside a repeating 24-hour loop, using a star-studded series of encounters to show how Flipkart can keep changing what his day looks like during the Big Billion Days sale.

Flipkart has unveiled its latest Big Billion Days campaign with a film that takes a slightly unusual route to sell a familiar proposition: what if you got to live the same day over and over again but had the chance to make it different every time?

The nearly five-minute film brings together Rohit Sharma, Jackie Shroff, Samay Raina and Aditya Srivastava, best known for playing senior inspector Abhijeet in CID. The campaign has been conceptualised by Leo and extends Flipkart’s “Yahaan Kuch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai” platform from last year.

The film begins with an ordinary-looking man who finds himself caught in a 24-hour time loop. Every time the day resets, however, he encounters a different possibility.

Instead of treating the loop as something frightening or repetitive, Flipkart turns it into an opportunity: if you could relive the same day, you could keep changing what happens in it  and the products, experiences and people around you.

The storytelling allows the brand to move through different situations without making the film feel like a conventional catalogue of sale offers. Each celebrity enters the narrative at a different point, helping the protagonist experience another version of the same day.

The central idea is therefore less about what the characters are selling and more about the possibilities Flipkart’s sale can unlock.

One of the most noticeable elements of the campaign is its unusually broad celebrity mix.

Rohit Sharma brings cricket and sports culture into the film, while Jackie Shroff adds his distinctive personality to the narrative. Samay Raina brings his internet-native comic identity, and Aditya Srivastava adds a layer of nostalgia through his CID persona.

Rather than giving one celebrity the entire spotlight, Flipkart uses the ensemble as a storytelling device. The rapid movement between personalities keeps the long-format film unpredictable while giving the brand multiple cultural entry points.

This is also a continuation of Flipkart’s increasing use of entertainment and pop-culture personalities around Big Billion Days. The objective is not simply to attach a celebrity to a product, but to make the sale itself feel like a larger cultural event.

At almost five minutes, the film is considerably longer than a conventional television commercial. That gives Flipkart enough room to establish the time-loop premise, introduce multiple characters and allow the humour to develop rather than reducing the campaign to a single sale message.

The long format also makes sense for digital distribution, where the film can work as a piece of entertainment first and an advertisement second. Individual moments and celebrity appearances can subsequently be adapted into shorter social-media executions.

This is notably different from simply producing one master film and cutting it down into multiple formats. The narrative itself provides several moments that can live independently across platforms.

The campaign continues the “Yahaan Kuch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai” platform introduced by Flipkart last year. The idea has become a useful creative territory for the brand because it gives the Big Billion Days campaign permission to move beyond straightforward discount communication.

Last year’s campaign centred on an abandoned shopping cart from 2015, with Flipkart employees attempting to track down its owner so he could finally complete the purchase. That film similarly turned an everyday e-commerce behaviour into an unexpected story.

This year’s time-loop narrative follows the same broad philosophy: take something that does not normally happen in everyday life and use it to dramatise the possibilities around shopping and the sale.

What makes the latest film structurally different is that Big Billion Days is not treated simply as the punchline.

The sale provides the reason for the possibilities, but the creative idea is the 24-hour loop. Flipkart can consequently weave products, entertainment, celebrities and unexpected situations into one larger narrative without constantly interrupting the story to announce offers.
