Ekart, Flipkart Group’s logistics arm, is expanding its services beyond the group’s ecosystem by opening its pan-India logistics network to external businesses. The move allows MSMEs, D2C brands, FMCG companies and enterprises to use Ekart’s delivery and fulfilment infrastructure through a new franchise model and dedicated warehousing services.
The company said businesses can now access its nationwide logistics network without investing in their own delivery infrastructure. Ekart has launched more than 300 franchise outlets across Surat, Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru, with plans to expand the network to over 1,000 outlets by the end of 2026.
The franchise network also provides access to features such as real-time shipment tracking and AI-powered address resolution.
Ekart has also made over one million square feet of dedicated warehousing available for brands, with additional capacity being added in Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai. The warehouses are aimed at improving order fulfilment by storing inventory closer to customers while using AI-based demand forecasting to optimise stock placement.
Alongside these services, Ekart continues to operate a dedicated B2B logistics network for sectors including automotive, engineering goods, FMCG and retail. The network supports bulk and consolidated freight movement and offers services such as Open Box Delivery and Any Day Delivery for scheduled shipments.
Mani Bhushan, Chief Business Officer (CBO), Ekart, said, “Over the past few years, thousands of retail, MSME, D2C and global brands have trusted Ekart’s logistics network and technology to reliably scale their businesses across India. Building on that experience, we are now expanding access to our network through our franchise model and dedicated end-to-end fulfilment capabilities.”
He further added, “This reflects our confidence in India’s commercial opportunity and the Flipkart Group’s long-term commitment to building the infrastructure that Indian businesses need to compete and grow. We believe every business, regardless of size, deserves access to a national market, and this expansion is designed to make that possible.”
