Google has signed a multi-year agreement with SpaceX worth more than $30 billion to secure artificial intelligence computing capacity, marking one of the largest AI infrastructure deals disclosed to date. Under the agreement, Google will pay SpaceX approximately $920 million per month from October 2026 through June 2029 for access to large-scale computing resources needed to support its expanding AI business.
The deal, revealed through a regulatory filing by SpaceX, comes as technology companies race to secure the massive computing power required to train and run increasingly sophisticated AI models. The agreement will provide Google access to approximately 110,000 Nvidia GPUs, along with CPUs, memory, and other computing infrastructure components.
According to reports, the partnership is intended to support growing demand for Google’s AI offerings, including Gemini Enterprise and other AI-powered services. Google described the arrangement as a way to ensure it has sufficient capacity to meet customer demand as adoption of AI tools continues to accelerate.
For SpaceX, the contract represents another major step in its transformation into an AI infrastructure provider. The company recently signed a similar agreement with AI startup Anthropic, giving it access to a significant portion of SpaceX’s computing capacity. Together, the Google and Anthropic agreements are expected to generate tens of billions of dollars in revenue for SpaceX’s growing data centre business.
Under the terms of the agreement, Google will begin paying the full monthly amount once the infrastructure is fully operational. The contract includes provisions allowing Google to terminate the arrangement if SpaceX fails to deliver the agreed computing capacity within the specified timeline. Both companies will also have the option to end the agreement with 90 days’ notice after a certain period.
