Dating app happn has partnered with Rage Room for a unique on-ground activation aimed at helping young singles process heartbreak, release emotional stress and rethink the way breakups are experienced in modern dating culture.
Titled around the idea of moving “From Breakups to Breakthroughs,” the initiative reflects a growing shift in how younger audiences are approaching relationships, emotional wellbeing and healing. Instead of viewing heartbreak as simply an ending, the activation positions it as part of a larger emotional journey involving release, reflection and personal growth.
The immersive experience was rolled out across Rage Room venues in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Delhi, offering participants a controlled yet cathartic environment where they could physically release pent-up emotions while engaging with themes of closure and emotional clarity.
The first session, held on May 17, saw attendees move through multiple stages of the experience designed to mirror the emotional phases of a breakup. From moments of anger and frustration to introspection and emotional release, the activation attempted to create a safe space for feelings that often remain suppressed or unspoken in conversations around dating and relationships.
By integrating emotional healing into an experiential format, happn is attempting to create a more human and emotionally aware narrative around modern dating, especially at a time when conversations around mental health, vulnerability and emotional authenticity are becoming more mainstream among younger users.
Following the response to the first event, happn and Rage Room are now set to host a second session on May 24, continuing the initiative across the three cities and offering more participants a space to let go, reset and move forward with greater emotional clarity.
Through the campaign, happn says it aims to support singles beyond the moment of connection itself, focusing instead on helping users build relationships that feel more intentional, emotionally fulfilling and real.
