Instagram has rolled out a suite of new creative features for Meta AI Glasses, introducing immersive Story formats such as Spin View and Multi-Cam Stories, alongside new editing tools designed to make hands-free content creation more interactive. The update is aimed at helping creators capture and share moments in more engaging ways directly from their smart glasses.
Among the headline additions is Spin View, a new Story format that lets viewers explore a scene by physically rotating their phone. Instead of watching a fixed image or video, users can tilt and turn their device to look around the creator’s surroundings, creating a more immersive storytelling experience. The feature is exclusive to content captured using Meta AI Glasses.
Instagram has also introduced Multi-Cam Stories, allowing creators to stitch together footage from different camera perspectives captured through the glasses. The format is designed to make Stories more dynamic by offering multiple viewpoints within a single post, giving followers a richer perspective of events and experiences.
Beyond new Story formats, Instagram is expanding its in-app editing capabilities for Meta AI Glasses users. The update includes improved trimming tools, clip management and creative editing options, enabling creators to refine their content before publishing without relying on third-party editing apps.
The rollout further strengthens the integration between Instagram and Meta AI Glasses, allowing users to capture photos and videos hands-free and share them directly to Instagram Stories using voice commands. Once an Instagram account is linked to the Meta AI app, users can ask the glasses to post newly captured or previously taken media straight to their Stories.
The latest features arrive as Meta continues to position its AI-powered wearables as creator-first devices rather than simply smart accessories. By introducing interactive Story formats and streamlining the creation process, the company is aiming to make wearable content more immersive while encouraging creators to experiment with new storytelling formats.
