AI powered legal technology startup Jurisphere.ai has raised $2.2 million in a funding round backed by investors including Info Edge Ventures, Flourish Ventures, Antler and 8i Ventures. The startup plans to use the capital to expand its platform internationally and strengthen its AI focused legal services network.

The company’s offerings include contract analysis tools, legal research systems tailored to Indian law, document management solutions and automated workflow support for due diligence and litigation processes. The platform also provides OCR and translation capabilities, along with integrations that support drafting and reviewing legal documents within Microsoft Word.

According to the company, more than 500 teams across law firms, businesses and public institutions have used its platform over the past year for tasks including document review, legal drafting, collaboration and research. Jurisphere.ai is also building a marketplace model aimed at connecting clients with lawyers through a shared digital platform.

The funding comes at a time when adoption of AI tools within the legal sector is increasing. India’s legal ecosystem has traditionally been slower in adopting technology, but digital transformation accelerated during the Covid 19 pandemic and has continued with the rise of generative AI tools.

Investor interest in legal technology startups has also grown alongside the emergence of local AI models and increasing focus on solving inefficiencies within the country’s legal system, including a backlog of millions of pending cases. Recently, Lawyered also raised funding to scale its legal technology offerings.

Founded in 2024 by Manas Khandelwal, Varun Khandelwal and Sumit Ghosh, Jurisphere.ai develops AI based tools designed to simplify legal workflows for law firms, enterprises and legal professionals. Its platform focuses on automating repetitive and document heavy tasks across legal, tax and regulatory operations.

Industry estimates suggest the Indian legal technology market could see significant growth over the next few years, driven by rising demand for automation, AI powered research and workflow management tools across legal and compliance functions.
