Hindustan Unilever’s Pears has launched a new campaign ‘Farak Clear Hai’, developed by TBWA Lintas, part of Omnicom Advertising India. The campaign focuses on how the brand’s signature transparent amber bar is made.

The film takes viewers through the manufacturing process, following Pears’ glycerin-rich liquid as it is poured, moulded, cut and inspected before becoming the finished transparent bar. The campaign uses the production process to explain what makes the soap visually different from conventional bars.

Pears says its soap is made with 98% pure plant-based glycerin, with the transparent bar serving as one of its most recognisable brand assets. The film shifts the focus from the finished product to the people, processes and quality checks involved in making it.

The campaign is built around the idea that transparency is central to the Pears product and brand identity. By showing the manufacturing process, the film connects the product’s distinctive appearance with the craftsmanship behind it.

Farak Clear Hai is currently running across television and Pears’ digital platforms, bringing the brand’s long-standing product heritage into its latest advertising campaign.

Abhinav Ravikumar, CMO – Personal Care, Hindustan Unilever (HUL), said, “Pears has always been recognised for the transparency of its iconic bar. Behind that distinctive form lies a highly considered process, refined through generations of expertise. With the Factory Film, we wanted to make that process visible and allow consumers to see the care, precision and consistency behind every Pears bar.”

He further added, “The film brings to life how our commitment to quality and craftsmanship has created a product that has helped make Pears an iconic, loved brand for over two centuries.”

Sarvesh Raikar, President – Creative, TBWA\Lintas, added, “The transparent amber bar has always been Pears’ most powerful and distinctive asset. Rather than simply telling consumers what makes it different, we wanted to take them to where that difference is created.”

He further added, “By opening the doors to the factory, the film allows the product and its making to tell the story – turning transparency from a visual feature into the central creative idea. The difference has always been there; now consumers can see how it is made. Farak Clear Hai.”
