Procter & Gamble (P&G) has announced plans to acquire ‘Thorne’, a wellness company specialising in nutritional supplements and personalised health products.

The proposed acquisition will add Thorne to P&G’s Health Care portfolio and expand the company’s presence in supplements and personalised wellness.

Thorne develops nutritional supplements and health solutions and works with consumers and healthcare practitioners. The company’s portfolio focuses on areas including wellness, preventive health and personalised nutrition.

For P&G, the acquisition comes as consumer interest in self-care, preventive health and personalised wellness continues to shape the broader healthcare and supplements market. The deal would give P&G an additional brand in these categories while expanding its existing healthcare business.

Thorne’s focus on supplements and practitioner-led health products will complement P&G’s existing Health Care portfolio.

The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals. P&G expects the acquisition to close later in calendar year 2026.

Paul Gama, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Health Care, “Thorne has built a highly trusted brand at the forefront of personalized health. Together, we see an opportunity to bring Thorne’s science-backed wellness solutions to more consumers while continuing to build on the quality, credibility and innovation that have made the brand successful.”
