Prasidha Menon has joined Apple as Head of Product Communications for India, taking charge of the company’s product communications mandate in the country. Menon announced the move on LinkedIn on August 12, marking the latest step in a communications career spanning more than 18 years across technology, consumer and B2B businesses.
In her new role, Menon will lead Apple’s product communications in India, a market that has become increasingly important to the company’s global growth strategy. Her appointment brings to Apple a communications professional with experience across brand building, corporate reputation, product storytelling and culturally relevant communication.
Announcing her move, Menon wrote, “Excited to share that I’ve joined Apple to head Product Communications for India. It’s a privilege to join a company I have long admired for its approach to product innovation, its bold vision and the way it has reimagined the role technology plays in our everyday lives. I am thrilled to be a part of Apple’s journey in this vibrant and dynamic market. Onwards and upwards!”
The appointment comes after a nearly four-year stint at Airbnb, where Menon moved from leading communications for India and Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan to a broader regional mandate covering Brand & Product Communications for Asia Pacific.
Menon joined Airbnb in April 2022, taking on the role of Regional Communications Lead for India, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Her mandate included integrated communications, influencer engagement, corporate reputation and brand storytelling across the markets.
Her tenure at Airbnb subsequently expanded beyond the India and Southeast Asia business. In November 2024, she announced that she had taken on the role of Regional Head of Communications, Brand & Product, Asia Pacific, describing the move as an opportunity to contribute to Airbnb’s growth and expansion across the region.
Before joining Airbnb, Menon served as Director & Head of Brand, Marketing and Communications at Optum Global Solutions, part of UnitedHealth Group. She joined Optum in 2021 after spending more than two years as Global Head of Communications at OYO Hotels & Homes.
