Kim Kardashian’s shapewear and lifestyle brand SKIMS is set to enter the Indian market through an exclusive partnership with Reliance Brands Limited (RBL). The collaboration will see Reliance introduce the brand across both physical retail and digital channels, with the first standalone stores planned for Delhi and Mumbai.

The partnership marks SKIMS’ official entry into one of the world’s fastest-growing fashion and premium apparel markets. Founded by Kim Kardashian in 2019, SKIMS has built a global presence with its shapewear, loungewear, underwear and basics, positioning itself around inclusive sizing and body-focused essentials. The brand has expanded rapidly in recent years through international retail openings, high-profile collaborations and wholesale partnerships.

Reliance Brands, the luxury retail arm of Reliance Retail, will operate SKIMS in India through an omnichannel strategy. The rollout will begin with flagship stores in Delhi and Mumbai before expanding through additional physical and digital touchpoints.

For Reliance Brands, SKIMS adds another internationally recognised label to its expanding portfolio. The company has previously brought brands including Fenty Beauty, Fenty Skin, Valentino and Stella McCartney to India as part of its strategy to strengthen its presence in the premium fashion and beauty segments.

The India launch also follows SKIMS’ broader international expansion strategy. The brand has opened stores in markets including London and Dubai, while continuing to broaden its product portfolio beyond shapewear into everyday apparel, lingerie and loungewear. Earlier this year, SKIMS also expanded its presence through collaborations in the activewear category.

Founded in 2019, SKIMS was last valued at $5 billion following a funding round in 2023 and has emerged as one of the fastest-growing names in the global apparel industry. Its arrival in India reflects increasing interest from international fashion brands in tapping the country’s expanding premium consumer base.
