Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has stepped into the fashion world with the launch of Mile Collective, an activewear and lifestyle brand that marks a fresh phase in India’s lifestyle space, where clothing is meant to adapt to how people live today from morning walks and workouts to travel days and lounging at home.

Mile Collective is the evolved version of Mile Active, which was originally started in 2023 by co-founder Harshita Motaparthi with a focus on activewear tailored for Indian bodies and climates. As the story goes, founder Motaparthi launched Mile Active after noticing a gap in comfortable, well-fitting options for everyday movement. Over time, Pravishta Nadella joined as co-founder to broaden the brand’s vision and now Prabhu has come onboard as a co-founder, drawn by its ethos of comfort, intentional living and ease.

Unlike performance-heavy workout gear, Mile Collective positions itself as comfort-first wear. Its debut collection, called “OnTheGo,” includes easy silhouettes in muted hues such as charcoal and burgundy, designed to be breathable, intuitive and flattering without loud logos or overworked designs.

Prabhu has often been celebrated not only for her acting but also for her personal style and wellness journey, making her entry into fashion a natural next step. Her involvement isn’t just about celebrity endorsement; she has been part of shaping the brand’s philosophy and design direction.
